You can know …
You can want …
You can have the competences …
But unless you really care about something, … you will not manifest it in your life.
So how do you know what you really care about in your life?
We are known to deliver less than expected.
We end up having poor results when good results are needed; good results when great results are needed.
So in order to have a good answer to the above question, you have to be ready to come up and answer a great question.
It’s not the same for everyone. One question might apply to more persons, but there is no general question.
Some examples might be:
- What is the vision that fuels your ambition?
- What will you regret not doing if you only had 1 day to live?
- What are you willing to die for?
NOW….once you have that answer, the one you feel it makes your blood rush, you need to answer one more question.
How much do I care about myself?
Because you will not have that dream life until you care about yourself enough to chase it in the worst of times; and believe me, life will offer those worst of times even if you want them or not, … cause it’s life.
People get offended when other people tell them things they don’t want to hear about themselves, even if it’s the truth.
People get offended when others don’t respect them, but don’t give a damn when they don’t respect themselves.
So why would others care more about you than you care about yourself?
Why should others take care of you when you don’t take care of yourself.
I was deeply hurt when people called out the truth and told me I was fake in some situations.
I was offended when they didn’t respect me.
Strangely, I was pissed off when people told me the truth about my potential that I didn’t see or didn’t respect.
I requested constructive feedback hoping that I will make a change and take a decision to be and become more.
I sometimes didn’t like when others did or had more than me, but I wasn’t ready nor willing to make the effort to change my behaviour.
I had to suffer in order to clean my mind and heart.
However, I was very lucky because it was self induced pain through decision that put me in very uncomfortable but necessary situations. Of course I didn’t know at the time those decision would cause so much suffering, as if I knew I would have probably not taken them.
I am so grateful today for all the pain I went trough as it transformed me into the man I am today.
Also…I am aware that I will need to go through such a process several times in my life in order to be and have more.
So….what do you care about and how much do you care about yourself?
I personally care and believe with all my being, in the necessity and power of PROGRESS.
We think that we are making progress, but are we really?
Progress means becoming and doing things better everyday, in all aspects:
- your health ( How often do you exercise? How much attention do you pay to what you eat? )
- your mind ( How many books did you read last year? Do you practice mindfulness? )
- your spiritual wealth ( What is your relationships with the people around you? )
- your material wealth ( What is your ambition and how are you looking to use that wealth to do good? )
I know how much my life improved just by accepting to search the answers to those powerful questions.
And I can’t wait to see what the future awaits in terms of powerful questions, thus I do not believe in coincidences and everyday I “stand guard to the gate of my mind” and pay attention to what life puts me trough.
